No more worries about looking washed out in a nude dress
Happy New Year guys! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. In today’s article I want to draw your attention to nude and beige colored outfits. I am talking about various shades of nude color staples, starting from beige, cream, brown and everything in between. It’s quite a massive trend in today’s fashion what gives you an understated elegance. It can look either glamour, polished, edgy or sport chic, everything depends on your style to wear. So I want to give you some ideas on how to wear nude so you don’t look nude or washed out.
So to get past the nude look, you need to wear nude with a contrast colour. It works fantastically well when you repeat your eye or hair colour (or both) in your outfit.
- You can team it with a colour similar to your hair colour – gold, caramel, taupe, chocolate, black etc.
- You can pair it with a skin enhancer – red, orange, purple, pink
- Nude shades of neutrals really need to be put with a contrasting colour to stop you from looking bland.
You can also go for a total nude look (as I styled here) directly inspired by Olivia Palermo here in New York during a walk with her dog. On the other hand, I opted for a sporty chic look that looks simple but pays attention to details. This is what American women call an „effortless“ look. So like Olivia I marked the waist with a camel belt to bring relief to the look. The round mirror glasses were everywhere this summer and give a pop and vintage touch to the whole look. The long oversized coat (don’t tell me when you you are tired to see me with this coat lol) nicely worn on the shoulders brings the undeniable posh side.
